Opened in 2006, the restaurant is run by Italian-Argentinean chef Mauro Colagreco. It was awarded 35th best in 2009, 24th in 2012, 28th in 2013 and 1st this year. The restaurant spans over three stories and features a spacious dining room with panoramic views of the sea and the town of Menton.

Other restaurants that made in the top five include Noma in Copenhagen, Asador Etxebarri in Axpe, Spain, Gaggan in Bangkok and Geranium in Copenhagen, Denmark.
