It’s delightful to witness when a renowned architectural firm channels its creativity to craft a perfect pet house. And if there is one event on the planet, where these architectural firms can gather and exhibit their bespoke designs, (later available for auction at Bonhams), it’s Goodwoof Barkitecture. As the show’s latest installment approaches, architects across the globe have started disclosing their kennel designs set to be showcased at the event. Building on the success of last year’s Bowowhaus, Beta Design Office in collaboration with British designer Sebastian Conran will present the Moon Carrier. This sleek and stylish pet carrier is touted to revolutionize pet travel forever.

The Moon Carrier boasts a rigid monocoque structure featuring an aluminum frame and panels that make the pet carrier tough and durable. “The bead blasted & clear anodised aluminium monocoque was carefully crafted by our fabrication partners, Get It Made,” Beta Design Office informs in an email to Homecrux.

Complementing the sleek design of the Moon Carrier is a retractable roof that can be left open or partially or fully closed, courtesy of stainless steel tensioning rods and quick-release latches. Concealed inside its solid body is ‘Alcantara’ upholstered cushioning that provides a plush and comfy environment for furry passengers.

But that is not all. The unique dog carrier is not only stylish and sturdy but also allows adapt to various scenarios with ease. It boasts three distinctive configurations- fully open for home use, ‘cabriolet’ style for motorbike excursions, and enclosed for travel. These three forms cater to the diverse needs of pet owners and make traveling comfortable for your pet.

The makers further mention, “Akin to a space pod meeting a futuristic electric motorcycle, the Moon Carrier redefines the way we transport and care for our four-legged companions.” This statement comes forth in the context of another remarkable display of collaboration as Sebastian Conran and Beta Design Office have joined forces with BMW Motorrad to ensure that the Moon Carrier integrates seamlessly with the rear of the new CE04 EV motorcycle.

The pet accessory fits into the curvature of its pillion seat without any hassle. Set to be exhibited on 18th-19th May, the Moon Carrier with all its design nuances is a hot favorite to win Barkitecture 2024.
