Movano Health separates itself from other wearable tech companies like Fitbit and Garmin by offering medical-grade wearable devices. Expanding its offerings, the California-based company is unveiling a new smart ring, specifically designed for women, at CES 2023. Sleek, smart, and comfortable, the Evie smart ring tracks a woman’s health metrics whether they’re sleeping or working out.

The smart ring gathers medical-grade data and provides personalized actionable insights to track and manage overall health through a mobile app without any subscription. The ring itself is made of polished aluminum and is likely to cost under $300 on availability, sometime later this year.

Unlike most consumer wearables, the Movano Evie smart ring lets you track health and wellness metrics as well as your activity. You can check up on your activity profile including steps, active minutes, calories burned, sleep stages, and duration within the accompanying app.

On top of this, you get personalized insights into resting heart rate, heart rate variability, SpO2, respiration rate, skin temperature variability, and menstrual cycle, which is far and beyond what the currently available wearables usually offer.

As said, all the biometric data is accessed through the companion mobile app. You get actionable insights that help make manageable lifestyle changes and lower the chances of diseases. As explained in the press release, ‘the smart ring reads live heart rate and SpO2 levels and uses that data to help identify patterns in sleep quality and trends in menstrual cycle, letting a woman understand more about her body.’

Movano Health is currently seeking FDA approval for the Evie smart ring, which will be provided in three distinct colors and sizes. When clearance is received, the ring is supposedly going to be the first medical-grade consumer wearable device of its kind.
