Most new tiny house builders, when they join the micro dwelling industry, come with a bang but leave with a whimper. The reason behind their fiasco is not sticking to a particular niche, experimenting hastily, and failing to adapt to modern-day requirements. Whatever the case, the truth is making a name for yourself in the tiny house industry is no easy feat, and when you have names like Baluchon to compete with, it’s better to batten down the hatches.

Speaking of Baluchon, the French tiny house maker has designed a 10-foot mobile habitat dubbed Nano tiny house. It’s so small that it would make other micro dwellings look big in front of it.

When I say ten foot, many of you would presume I am bluffing and talking of the width here, but I am not. Baluchon has actually designed a tiny home that measures 10 feet long and is the epitome of what a true micro dwelling should look like.

Despite measuring this small, the tiny house features a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and loft and can sleep three people with ease. Surprised right? Below we’d try to decipher what makes this house an absolute peach and how is it spacious despite its compact footprint. Built on a single-axle trailer, the tiny house is finished in cedar, with aluminum accenting.

A glass door welcomes you inside the house featuring a small desk area that also functions as a dining table. Offering seating for a couple of people, you can enjoy your meals here or work in synergy, in case you choose communication over privacy. The living room also features a number of windows including a large porthole-style window, that allows natural light to penetrate inside and keep the interior bright and airy.

Adjacent is the sofa bed with integrated storage. It not only houses your nitty-gritty essentials but even sleeps up to two people with ease. Facing the sofa bed is the kitchen. Despite such a compact area, it doesn’t feel cramped and includes a two-burner stove, sink, and a small fridge. Not to mention, cabinetry for storing essentials. Then we have the bathroom, which can be accessed via a sliding door. It features a toilet and shower.

Nano tiny house also has a loft that can be accessed via a wall-mounted ladder. It isn’t as spacious as one would want a loft to be but that’s what you get in a 10 feet long dwelling. Capable of sleeping a single person, the loft has a net installed to ensure safety so you don’t fall while flipping on the bed. Overall, the tiny house sleeps three people in total and is a tiny yet functional abode for a small family.
