Broste Copenhagen has newly launched the Nobuko shelving system designed by the Danish designer Mette Degn. It is a modular system that will enhance any room with stylish storage possibilities. You can customize the storage units according to your living space and needs.

The Nobuko shelving system consists of only two simple components – shelves and legs that are available in four different lengths. This allows users to customize both the height and number of racks depending on the available space and storage requirements. The shelves are crafted to be compatible with any of the Nobuko legs. This modular series features one rack that can be arranged in preferred configurations with four different heights of legs to create varying designs of the shelves for a lovely pattern.

The Nobuko shelving system has been created as a flexible storage unit that is sturdy yet streamlined. Inspired by the natural flexibility of bamboo, the legs of the Nobuko bookshelf are offset to ensure stability.

Mette Degn said, “I loved the challenge posed by the ambitious Broste team. I was invited to create a flatpack bookcase, with no stabilizing cross at the back and multiple ways of repurposing the shelves.”

It sports a simple design with a light and airy aesthetic. This modular shelving system is capable of providing storage space for items of different sizes and weights. You can showcase your favorite glassware or a curated collection of books.
