After spending your lone time in a nearby park, you often would have wished that the same calm and soothing environment could follow you throughout the city wherever you would go. Now this wish of many has turned to reality with the Parkcycle Swarm, which is a modular pop up system of human powered mobile gardens. Each of these green vehicle can create a small green spot in urban spaces like a parking spot, while many of these can be united to form a big park.

Landscape architect, John Bela at Rebar Group and another artist Tim Wolfer at N55 has worked together to create the miniature park on wheels dubbed as Parkcycle Swarm. Their ambition behind making this project is to provide green spaces in the busy cities, which although have enough space for cars, but lacks space for relaxation. Their design combines a mini park with a bicycle for moving around to greenify the urban spaces.

The Parkcycle Swarm was launched at the Public Art Festival 2013 in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan. The city dwellers were invited to participate in the project by pedaling the mini parks through the city themselves. With this project, the designers also want to encourage the development of urban cycling with their project, thus killing two birds with one stone.
