Beer is one of the most consumed beverages in the world. A chilled glass of beer is what one craves especially in summer or after a tiring day at work. Sapporo, the oldest beer brand from Japan wanted to entice its customers with something special. They joined hands with Nendo, a design studio from Tokyo, Japan to create a unique Perfect 3Way glass that is created to make drinking beer a more fun experience.

Nendo has been actively bringing products that cater to the market of draft beer. In the past, it has created beer cans featuring dual pull tabs to reduce foam when drinking lager beer. With Perfect 3Way Glass for Sapporo, they introduce a beer glass that has three different sides to let people enjoy drinking from it. The company claims that this design enriches the aroma and flavor of the draft beer. It is not something you see often!

The Perfect 3Way glass by Nendo has one straight side in the front and back. Then there is a curve toward its left side and a bowed part on the right. The glass offers a new technique to drink the draft beer.

You can start drinking from the straight side so that beer gives its flavor to the maximum. Then rotate the glass anticlockwise and drink from the left side with a wide rim preserving the smooth and rich aroma of the beer. Finally, you can gulp the beer from the right bulbous side that controls the beer flow so that it hits just the right spot on your tongue.

The asymmetrical design of Perfect 3Way glass thus elevates the beer-drinking experience. The company describes it as a flavorful journey for draft beer likers that has a beginning, middle, and end, just like you see in perfumes that have a top, middle, and base notes. But of course, it is not about perfume but beer. Still, it is a thoughtful design created to maximize flavor and aroma for beer lovers.
