Madrid-based PKMN Architectures, who previously created All I Own House, a modular transformable apartment, has completed their work on a similar project by designing Casa Mje. Located in Salinas, Spain the holiday apartment seeks to maximize the living dimension of a small residential project by creating rotating central units and folding furniture.

Designed for Mexican couple, Maria Jose and Enrique, who wanted to have a flexible vacation home that is build to provide extra open space and utilizes every inch of space available. The rotating walls and foldable furniture allows the couple to configure two bedrooms, one bedroom or none of them.

The 753-square-feet (floorspace) vacation home is designed to welcome not only the couple but their extended family too. Hence, Murphy-styled beds and pullout dividers are used to create multiple small spaces.

The flexible vacation home is part of ‘little big houses’ initiative taken by PKMN Architectures where they are seeking to maximize the living dimensions of small residential properties. Therefore, if you were having doubt on how much effort it would take to move the walls aside, the video will help you to understand it nicely.
