SoildTech, a startup company that takes plant care very seriously, has unveiled PlantSenso, the world’s first gamified plant sensor with a virtual pet. This digital pet grows with your plant and turns plant care into interactive gameplay.
PlantSenso is a godsend for plant lovers, simplifying plant care through an AI-powered Senso App. The unit includes a set of three detachable prong-like metal probes, a Plant Sensor Pro, and a Senso Mini. You can use the unit indoors or outdoors without worrying about the harsh weather.
The metal probe goes directly into the soil to measure moisture and nutrients. The Plant Sensor Pro and Senso Mini share the same ecosystem and attach magnetically to the same probe. Both devices monitor plant needs such as sunlight, moisture, and temperature. After processing this health data, the devices share AI-driven diagnostics through the Senso App.

The pixel screen displays a super adorable Tamagotchi-style virtual pet that grows after feeding on the health data collected through monitoring plant, light, air, and soil. When moisture levels run low, or you forget to water your plant, the virtual pet shows six different types of animated plant care alerts. These animated alerts display living pixel reactions based on what your plant experiences in real-time. Its screen remains readable even under sunlight or high brightness.
The interactive gameplay is based around a core story where your pixel pet travelled from a distant planet and settled in your pot. Through multiple quests, based on your plant’s needs, you help the creature rebuild and heal its dying planet. You can explore six different types of biomes in the game and unlock more characters after completing daily quests and levelling up quickly.
Senso Mini, on the other hand, is a tiny, ultra-lightweight egg-shaped device without a display screen. The mini device has a smart LED light that flashes when the plant requires your attention. It features a unique Scout mode where the device hangs directly on the damaged or dried part of your plant.
To use this mode, attach the included strap to the device and place it on the dried leaf or damaged stem of your plant. After tracking humidity, airflow, and sunlight, the device shares a report through the app where you can check the diagnostics.

The smart plant care unit has a modular design, which allows you to replace the damaged part (such as a corroded probe due to mineral oxidization) instead of throwing the entire set away.
