The Rainforest House by Studio MK27 is located on the coast of the Brazilian municipality of Guarujá on a mountainside, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Aptly named and surrounded by naturally green paddies on three sides, this monolithic rectangular house looks part of the jungle. Although it bears a contemporary layout, its concrete and wooden exterior along with a green rooftop blend it into the natural habitat.

Flipping the basic structure of most houses, the ground floor of the house contains a children’s play area and a deck. The second floor of the house includes six bedrooms, five of which have their own decks. The top floor includes a living room, a kitchen, as well as an infinity pool, sauna, fire pit and a hot tub. All these luxury amenities make it a perfect getaway home to escape the bustling city life.

Not only the exterior, but the interior is also worth talking about. It is decked up with wooden furnishing and same toned flooring, carpets and furnishing for a sophisticated look. Even the lighting and decor pieces are minimalist to let the inhabitants focus more on the outside environment rather than the interior.

To interact with nature, the top floor of Rainforest House has ample space for relaxing with family, while enjoying the sweeping landscape views.
