  • Green burlap
  • Raffia
  • Black buttons
  • Paintbrushes
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun

Instructions for DIY Reversible Scrap Wood Pumpkins

  • Paint one side of the scrap wood in orange with a few inches of white at the top to make it look like a pumpkin. However, don’t paint the edges, otherwise your pumpkin will be visible on the other side. Let the paint dry
  • Meanwhile, carefully trim the ends off a few craft sticks with scissors
  • Then, give these trimmed ends of craft sticks a coat of brown color and set them aside to dry
  • Next, take a green burlap and cut it into a leaf shape
  • Once the paint has dried, it’s time to stick the craft stick stem onto the pumpkin with a hot glue
  • Add a green burlap leaf on top with hot glue. For the next step, take raffia and tie it into a knot. Then glue it firmly on top of the leaf and trim the excess
  • Once everything is in place, flip scrap wood over to paint the other side white for a cheery snowman effect
  • For this one as well, you need to leave the edges and let the paint dry
  • When the paint has dried completely, paint an orange nose
  • For the final step, make the eyes and mouth of your snowman by sticking buttons with hot glue
  • Now, repeat these steps to create as many reversible scrap wood pumpkins and snowmen as you want

Once done, display these handmade pumpkins on your shelf, mantel, tabletop, or any covered outdoor area for a cozy, autumnal, and festive ambiance. Once you are done with fall and Halloween, flip them over for a whimsical snowman to cheer up the space. These reversible scrap wood pumpkins and snowmen will surely light up the mood of your neighbors and guests.
