Compatriots LG and Samsung are old sparring partners, and CES 2026 promises to be another bout in their historic rivalry. A day after LG revealed its first-ever RGB TV, the Micro RGB Evo, Samsung Electronics couldn’t help but preview its entire RGB TV range, featuring multiple screen sizes, thus extending its lineup beyond the 115-inch model it unveiled last year.
The Samsung Micro RGB TV lineup now comprises 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch, and 100-inch TVs, along with the existing 115-inch variant, making this cutting-edge display technology accessible to a broader range of consumers and living spaces. According to the company’s press release, the new lineup will be fully showcased at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, where Samsung aims to strengthen its leadership in ultra-premium television amid intensifying competition from rivals like LG and brands like Hisense and TCL exploring similar RGB-based technologies.

The biggest highlight of the Samsung Micro RGB TVs is Samsung’s innovative display architecture, which “uses sub-100 μm red, green and blue LEDs that each emit light independently.” This advanced display architecture not only enables ultra-precise light control but also offers exceptional color accuracy.
ZDNET points out that this approach places Micro RGB as a compelling alternative to OLED panels, offering advantages such as higher peak brightness, allowing everyday content to feel more expressive and immersive. So, where does that leave OLED? PC Mag here argues that “OLEDs aren’t going to be obsolete any time soon.” Micro RGB, while brilliant, can’t quite equate OLED’s perfect blacks at the individual pixel level. Instead, it resorts to using many tiny dimming zones to control backlighting across different areas of the screen.
Powering the visual prowess in Samsung’s RGB TV line is the next-generation Micro RGB AI Engine Pro chipset, designed for highly accurate frame-by-frame image processing. It comes with a suite of advanced AI enhancements, including 4K AI Upscaling Pro to sharpen and enhance lower-resolution content, AI Motion Enhance Pro (or AI Motion Enhancer Pro) to minimize blur and improve clarity during fast-paced action.
Additional features include an upgraded AI Vision Companion that combines large language model (LLM)-powered intelligence with natural conversation via Bixby. This allows room for conversational search, interactive Q&A, proactive recommendations, and access to AI features and apps.
Complementing the stunning visuals are premium viewing comforts and audio innovations. All models incorporate Glare-Free technology to eliminate reflections and distractions in bright environments. The TVs feature a Dolby Atmos-tuned speaker system for multidimensional immersion and Adaptive Sound Pro that optimizes audio clarity based on room acoustics and content type. There is no word on the pricing and model names. The precise launch timelines remain undisclosed as well.
