Tiny House Sauvage is one of the most elegant yet simple mobile habitats you’d ever come across. Designed by Baluchon, the 20-feet long tiny house is finished in red cedar, with black aluminum accenting. The micro dwelling relies on a standard RV-style hookup for power needs and has a mixture of cotton, linen, and hemp to keep it thoroughly insulated. However, it’s not the exterior or insulation properties that are interesting. Tiny House Sauvage is garnering attention for its Scandinavian-inspired interior.

During my exclusive chat with Vagabond Haven’s CEO, Manuel Kohout, he revealed, “Scandinavian style is actually much downscaled. In the color scheme, it is softer colors from white tones to very clean colors so that spaciousness gets increased. It’s not minimalistic because it’s still homely, so we often have elements of a wooden look.”

Baluchon did exactly the same as Kohout implied and accoutered the home with simple wooden furniture. The wood elements are all over the house from the living room and kitchen to the loft of the tiny house.

Upon entering the living room, you are graced with a dining table, chairs, and stool that sit next to the wood-burning stove. Adjacent to the furnishing is another long-storage wooden unit that can house other nitty-gritty essentials.

Next, we have the angled staircase with built-in storage leading to the loft of the tiny house. Featuring a double bed with a low ceiling, the loft of Tiny House Sauvage also features a home office area with a desk and drop-down floor space to sit comfortably.

Under the loft, Tiny House Sauvage has a kitchen that is accoutered with an oven, fridge, and a two-burner propane stove. Not to mention, a sink and some shelving for storing groceries. A small door leads to the bathroom of the tiny house. The bathroom has a composting toilet, a sink, a shower, and a wardrobe. Needless to say, it is one intriguing tiny house on wheels and perfect to take along your adventure through the French wine country.
