Rustic tiny houses are whimsical. Case in point is the Serge tiny house created by the French company Tibi Tiny House. The micro-dwelling is designed for people who want to live freely with less clutter, blending modern comforts with a smart layout that uses every single inch of space.

On the outside, the Serge features a beautiful raw timber exterior made from locally sourced French wood, giving it a cozy cabin look. Built for true off-grid freedom, the roof is fitted with a complete solar system featuring six powerful solar panels to harvest clean electricity. For water independence, the house connects to a massive 3,000-liter flexible rainwater collection tank, allowing you to live comfortably even in remote locations.

The most exciting feature of the interior is its massive, double-height glass window that covers one entire side of the house. This giant glass wall lets in plenty of natural light, making the main floor open-plan lounge feel incredibly large and airy.

This living area opens directly into a functional kitchen with lower and upper cabinets and essential cooking appliances. Right next to the kitchen is a compact bathroom featuring a full shower cabin, a vanity with a sink bowl, and high floor-to-ceiling shelves to maximize vertical wall space.

Instead of a single cramped sleeping area, the Serge features a flexible layout that can sleep up to four people across two distinct loft spaces. The main loft is reached by a solid, built-in staircase with storage drawers hidden inside.

Atop the stairs, a door awaits, leading you into the sleeping space, which is fully covered, providing complete privacy. For the secondary loft on the other side of the house, a lightweight, movable ladder keeps the floor below completely open and clutter-free.

Costing between $68,000 and $91,000, the Serge tiny house is built on a sturdy trailer and is apt for someone wishing to start their new life far from the crowd.
