Back in 2023, Sunshine Tiny Homes took the curtains off the Simply Heaven tiny house on wheels. The mobile home measured 30 feet long, fitting two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen within its cedar exterior. Three years later, the Canadian tiny house builder is showcasing an upgraded version of Simply Heaven. Dubbed Simply Heaven Flex, the tiny house measures 34 feet long, eight feet wide, and 13.5 feet high.
Boasting quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design, Simply Heaven Flex boasts 380 square feet of space (lofts included). It includes two lofts, each accommodating one queen-size bed or one king-size bed, an innovative layout with a full-size kitchen, and a secret office space. This design caters particularly well to families or those seeking multi-functional living spaces in a small footprint.
Another interesting aspect of the tiny house is a dedicated office space past the walkthrough bathroom. This can also be used as a reading nook or utilized as a recreational room, whatever dwellers prefer. Enclosed behind a sliding pocket door, the secret office allows the dweller to enjoy some productive or relaxing time without interruptions within the confines of the tiny house, especially if you are living with family and kids.
Similar to its predecessor, Simply Heaven Flex shares high-quality standard exterior and interior elements designed for longevity and aesthetic appeal. The exterior features vinyl windows (with color options), a metal roof, cedar lap bevel siding with trim, and a full-light 30-inch glass entry door. Interiors feature white-washed pine tongue-and-groove walls, 2.5 mm vinyl glue-down flooring in wood tones, pocket doors for bathrooms and bedrooms, and extensive spray foam insulation in the ceiling, walls, and undercarriage for superior energy efficiency.
Electric wall and kick-space heaters keep the space warm and toasty, supplemented by an HRV/ERV system to manage humidity and ensure fresh air circulation. Additional practical touches include a white ceiling fan, washer/dryer hookups, storage-rich stairs with a small pull-out pantry, a 50-amp electrical panel, a tankless propane on-demand water heater (ranging 15,000–130,000 BTUs), warm LED pot lights, and a wooden handrail with chrome brackets.
The tiny house features a living room furnished with a sofa, a side table, and a pouf. The maker has kept a removable ladder handy, which leads to the first loft. The loft is primarily designed to function as a relaxing space, though it can serve as a secondary bedroom if needed. The only downside of this particular loft is the absence of any safety railing.
The second loft lies on the opposite side of the living room and can be accessed via a storage-integrated staircase. The loft sleeps two people easily and includes a bookshelf cabinet for bedside items.
Facing the staircase is the kitchen of the tiny house. It is equipped with a stainless steel four-burner propane gas range and hood fan, 24-inch cabinetry (with upper cabinets and multiple color choices), stainless steel or white subway tile backsplash, chrome hardware, a 24-inch stainless steel refrigerator, laminate or butcher-block-style countertops, a single-bowl 22-inch stainless steel sink, chrome faucet, and pendant lighting.
Not much has been revealed about the bathroom; it maintains consistency with a vanity cabinet (color options), a white over-mount sink, a laminate or wood-style countertop, a mirrored cabinet, a standard dual-flush toilet, chrome fixtures, and a shower.
The Simply Heaven Flex tiny house starts at CA $180,000 (roughly $132,500), with add-on options available for CA $190,000 (roughly $140,000). Those interested in downsizing, off-grid living, or alternative housing solutions can hop on to the official website of Sunshine Tiny Homes.
