Australia-based Skye RV has quickly evolved into a high position in the hybrid camper market. The SkyeRV 14-00 hybrid trailer is a great example of its luxurious yet off-road capabilities. It is a thoughtfully engineered hybrid camper that opts for composite fiberglass construction to make a lightweight and durable structure. The key highlight is a full electric pop-top roof, which can be raised to create more interior headroom when camping and lowered for easier towing.
The trailer measures 6.84 meters (22.5 feet) long and 2.18 meters (7.2 feet) wide, while maintaining a manageable dry weight of about 2,100 kg (4,652 lbs) and a GVWR of 2,900 kg (6,393 lbs). Equipped with an independent swing-arm suspension with air bags, it ensures smoother travel on rough terrain and off-road tracks. Hot-dip galvanized and painted chassis, all-terrain tires, and electric hydraulic disc brakes are some other features that indicate it is designed for off-road travel.
Inside, the trailer uses a linear layout that divides the interior into separate zones. The front section accommodates a large king bed with storage drawers underneath. The raised roof section adds sleeping room for two kids. The interior space also has a compact lounge area with two opposing sofas and a slide-out table in the middle that forms a small seating and dining space.

The kitchen is located toward the rear on one side, while the other side contains a small bathroom area with a shower and compost toilet. There is also an outdoor kitchen so that you can even cook outdoors. With four 330-watt solar panels producing 1,320W of power, the travel trailer can support extended off-grid adventures.
The SkyeRV 14-00 hybrid travel trailer is best suited for couples or small families who want off-road travel but still want modern comforts. Its main bed and additional roof sleeping space for two kids make it ideal for a family with young children. It was showcased at the recently concluded Overland Expo Socal 2026.
