To revolutionize the TV industry, Skyworth has launched the Skyworth W82 OLED TV, which is claimed to be the world’s first mass-produced transformable OLED TV consumers can now purchase. The design of the TV takes its cue from the curves of the moon.

The 65-inch Skyworth W82 screen is able to convert its shape easily. You can conveniently turn it from a flatscreen TV into a curved screen depending on the viewing mode you prefer. With this unique transformable feature, this new TV aims at bringing an all-new experience to TV watching while improving the ethos of visionary technology.

This particular TV will appeal to e-sports players and will offer binge-watchers an all-new experience. According to the company, the transformable screen is reliable and durable even under extreme humidity and high temperatures. Anything that promises to transform in shape comes with the peril of durability. The Skyworth TV addresses the concern has been tested for estimated 10 years life span, and to withstand over 20,000 times of regular usage.

If that’s not all, the Skyworth W82 even boasts a fish-scale like telescopic rear shell design. This design helps the TV to smoothly transition between its two forms – flatscreen and curved screen. Furthermore, the OLED screen includes the austenitic stainless-steel bending mechanism. This mechanism helps the screen to easily perform bending and straightening motions.

It even includes a multi-stage low-noise reduction gearbox and has a self-locking function. So, the transformation process is extremely smooth and convenient. The company has not yet mentioned anything about the pricing or distribution plans for the TV, but we are hopeful to see it roll out later in the year.
