Canada-based tiny house builder Teacup Tiny Homes has designed Smidge tiny house on wheels. The mobile home is mounted on a triple-axle trailer and stretches 30 feet in length. The tiny house boasts 8.5 feet of width, thus offering 368 square feet of living space to the dwellers.
Smidge tiny house is wrapped in blue horizontal lap siding under a black standing-seam metal roof. Other features include large windows that allow light to permeate through the exterior and keep the interior bright. Speaking of the interior, the tiny house features a living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
Visitors access the interior through a glass entry door that welcomes them into the living room of the house. The living room features a built-in storage unit and space for a sofa. A wood-burning stove here handles ambience and warmth, while underfloor heating and a propane forced-air furnace take care of the rest.
On the right side of the living room is the kitchen of the tiny house. The kitchen features a double-basin sink, an oven paired with an induction cooktop, a fridge-freezer, backed by generous cabinetry. On the left side of the living room is the office cum bedroom. The office nook uses a Murphy-style bed with a fold-down desk built into its underside, so by day it’s a workspace, and by night it becomes a queen bed for guests.
Similar to other tiny homes in the Teacup Tiny Homes catalogue, the Smidge tiny house has a staircase leading to the second bedroom of the house. The loft bedroom sleeps a couple, and is built with integrated drawers, cupboards, and a pull-out pantry rather than sitting there as wasted space. The main bedroom we discussed above sleeps two as well. Smidge tiny house can, therefore, sleep a family of four conveniently.

This brings us to the bathroom of the tiny house. Tucked at the far end of the tiny home, the bathroom includes a vanity sink, a walk-in shower, and a toilet. Akin to most tiny homes in Canada, the Smidge tiny house draws power via a standard RV-style hookup.
There is no word on the price of the tiny house yet. However, we estimate it to be around $120,000, based on the fact that the Smidge tiny house is part of the company’s Margo model lineup, which starts around CAD 165,000, or roughly US$120,000.
