Italian company Egoitaliano will present the Smirk armchair at the Salone del Mobile in April 2024. The armchair has a unique design, it can also convert into a lounge chair, which is possible because of its adjustable backrest. It is essentially a furniture piece that merges comfort and functionality with a bit of style.

The Smirk armchair has a swivel base that offers seamless rotation making it an ideal option for personal use at home or office. The design is quite versatile and practical. One can sit for long gaming sessions or work hours on it despite the fact that it doesn’t have arms instead the sides of the chair are elevated above the seat for arm rest.

The backrest of the Smirk armchair can be adjusted manually to convert the armchair into a lounge chair giving your neck and back maximum comfort for long hours of sitting. The two forms of seating postures combined in one unit is the main highlight of this armchair by Egoitaliano. The design is elegant and can complement any interior space be it at home or office.

There is not much information about the materials used in the construction of the Smirk armchair, but as evident in the pictures, the black fabric upholstery renders the design durable and lasting. The swivel base is made of steel and provides great stability to the armchair. Sleek lines form contrast below the seat, sides of the convertible backrest, and middle of the backrest when it is opened to form a lounge chair.

We should have more information regarding the armchair cum lounger in the buildup to the Milan Furniture Fair. It will be interesting to see how people react to the Smirk armchair when it is exhibited at the Salone del Mobile.
