Canada’s ZeroSquared Tiny Homes, the designer of the Jaunt and Willow tiny house, has revealed another mobile habitat that deviates from the usual. Unlike the aforementioned micro dwelling, the $148,500 Sojourn tiny house doesn’t flaunt a loft but rather squeezes a main-floor bedroom in its 34-foot-long shell. The Sojourn tiny house however makes up for the loss of the loft with an interesting interior that comprises a main-floor bedroom, living room, kitchen, and a bathroom, but first, let’s talk about basic aspects of the house.

Based on a triple-axle trailer, the tiny home is optimized for single-level living. It boasts a width of 8.5 feet and a height of 12.5 feet, making it road-legal. The mobile home flaunts a charismatic exterior that comprises ‘Engineered wood and commercial steel siding.’ The 289-square-foot tiny home has a nice curb appeal and an elegant and functional interior that comprises spray-foamed R24 walls, R36 roof and floor, high-end finishing, and dual pane residential windows.

A double glass door welcomes you inside the house. Upon entering, one is greeted by the compact yet gorgeous living room of the house. Aside from a sofa, the living room also includes a wall-mounted television and a wall-integrated shelf. Visitors will then enter into a kitchen that doubles as a multipurpose space. The kitchen boasts an L-shaped countertop, several shelves, and cabinets, which incorporate a sink, a microwave, an oven, a refrigerator, and other essentials.

The latest trend in the tiny house industry is abstaining from breakfast bars, which is why I believe makers are now drifting toward incorporating simple countertops and shelves that can be utilized as a workspace. This practice is evident in the Sojourn tiny house too. It features an extendable kitchen counter that offers a little extra prep space.

The kitchen leads to the bathroom of the tiny house. Featuring a shower, toilet, vanity, and an optional bathtub; the bathroom is highly functional. The bathroom connects to the main-floor bedroom which boasts plenty of storage. So much so that one can host a range of essentials from decorative items to daily essentials.

Priced at $148,500, the Sojourn tiny house is a single-level dwelling designed for long-term living.

$519 per square foot! You are f-ing kidding me. FOR WHAT??? HOW ABOUT I buy the empty box with insulation and add my own $1000 IKEA cabinets, fridge, sink, microwave, and bathroom apparatus. I am guessing with $10,000 I can get some pretty stellar appliances, etc… And drapes! Folks. Get a calculator and walk the aisles of your local DIY store, and save about $120,000.
