There is something so alluring about glass tiny houses. You get to gaze at the vast expanses outside from the comfort of your home. Add a retractable roof, and it offers an out-of-this-world experience. This is what the Space Station tiny house offers within its futuristic steel and glass façade. The Space Station smart tiny house measures 38 feet long and 11 feet wide, featuring a hybrid stove, kitchen, lights, curtains, air conditioning, and a retractable roof, all controlled by a tablet.
Located in Penn Yan, in the rural region of the Finger Lakes in upstate New York, the futuristic Space Station smart tiny house offers a fully immersive downsizing lifestyle experience. It comes equipped with a cinematic projector, ambient LED lighting, smart home controls, luxury comforts, a heated bidet, and a full kitchen.
Sitting amid peaceful wooded surroundings, the sci-fi tiny house was imported from China for about $70,000 and has been established as an Airbnb vacation rental in upstate New York. The unit balances the perfect contrast between futuristic technology and the tranquil countryside. Interestingly enough, the Space Station fits in a truck. The mini house is not built on-site, but comes pre-fabricated and is installed on-site.
Its large glass façade gives it a modern look and offers comfort like a regular home, just a tad bit elevated. The highlight of the Space Station tiny house is the retractable roof, which opens when you want to observe the starry sky from the bed, a rare experience from quintessential lodgings.
Another interesting aspect is that the tech inside the house is controlled via a tablet. With just a few taps on the screen, you can control the lights, open and close the automatic curtains, adjust the air conditioning, and even activate a retractable projector screen for entertainment during your stay.
The bedroom is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides. The room has outdoor views, so you can enjoy natural beauty even when the weather turns rough.
The kitchen has a hybrid stove that works on both gas and electricity. It has a mini fridge under the counter and an oven to facilitate home cooking. The smart bathroom has a toilet with a heated bidet, a vanity sink, a shower cabin, and a built-in dryer. The sci-fi Space Station tiny house also features underfloor heating and Bluetooth-connected speakers, enhancing the futuristic feel.
When it is sunny outside, you can go hiking and explore nearby trails. For cold evenings, there is a grill and outdoor lounge for you to enjoy. There is even a small covered porch accessible from the bedroom, where two people can sit and admire nature with coffee in hand.
