Imagine a perfect day, basking in the sun, gazing at the beautiful skies, while nestled in sturdy and exceptionally comfortable outdoor furniture designed with the environment in mind. For those who appreciate both aesthetics and eco-consciousness, this dream scenario has become a reality with the Strap Collection by Derlot, an Australian furniture brand, designed by its founder Alexander Lotersztain.

Alexander Lotersztain drew from his childhood memories of sun loungers, in the 1970s, around his local pool for the collection that boasts 11 distinct seating elements, including armchairs, stools, benches, loungers, and stackable chairs, all meticulously designed to blend with various outdoor environments.

Strap stackable chairs are made from 70 percent recycled aluminum. Each piece is further crafted with a mix of stainless steel, solid timber, veneer, and plywood, ensuring a beautiful marriage of aesthetics and functionality. However, the real star is the use of aluminum, which is employed in such a way that it appears tautly wound around simpler tubular frames. The chairs can be easily recycled at the end of life.

Derlot has never been one to shy away from pushing the conceptual and material boundaries of design. In the Strap Collection, it has introduced a fresh perspective on use of environmentally-friendly material, adding a delightful twist to this range. These pieces can be assembled in a variety of ways, allowing you to unleash your inner designer and create a personalized outdoor oasis.

With its sustainable use of recycled aluminum and timeless aesthetics, these furniture pieces are more than just outdoor seating; they’re a testament to the ever-evolving world of material design, where the past meets the present to create something extraordinary.
