Studio LOHO, in collaboration with Belgian artist Sharon Van Overmeiren, known for her fictional sculptures, has developed a new collection of monumental bathtubs and washbasins that will grab your attention at first sight. These sculptural objects oscillate between autonomous works of art and functional objects, featuring organic motifs, modeled reliefs, and unconventional forms.

Built under the platform named LOHO Collabs, the collection aims to translate Sharon’s expertise with clay and ceramics into functional objects without losing her narrative. Sharon has used her visual vocabulary that blends historical, cultural, and natural motifs to make functional clay fixtures through intricate pottery patterns.

She takes inspiration from a wide range of references, including classical antiquity, pop culture, medieval heraldry, and archaic symbolism. Her organic motifs and modeled reliefs are sculpted directly into the clay, making each piece an autonomous artwork and a functional object at once.

For this collection, Sharon has sculpted organic motifs and modeled reliefs onto the surface of LOHO’s signature bathtub. This way, it becomes a utilitarian object with an artistic touch; it functions as an artwork and can be used as a bathtub.

She has also created an accompanying washbasin that showcases LOHO’s design language as well as the artist’s fictional dimension on the surface. Every piece is hand-modeled from solid clay, so each piece is different.

The clay bathroom collection was presented for the first time at COLLECTIBLE 2026 in Brussels. The project brings an artist’s sculptural language into direct dialogue with the studio’s ceramic practice. These washbasins and bathtubs are perfect to bring sculptural essence into everyday life.
