World’s renowned planetarium designer Takayuki Ohira has created Homestar BB-8 Home Planetarium for Japanese Company Sega Toys. This sci-fi inspired planetarium can turn flat walls and ceiling at home into a serene star-gazing spot. Earlier the company had introduced Star Wars-inspired versions in 2011 and this spherical home planetarium is its latest offering that will go on sale on 24th July with a price tag of US$131. This compact star-gazing toy is capable of projecting about 10,000 stars for nearly four hours without any interruption.

Furthermore, the planetarium’s discs project four scenes including X-wing Starfighter flying through the space and the planet of Jakku. This way you can really bring the world of Star Wars to life in your home.  There is full freedom to adjust projection angles and schedule it as per the on-board timer for a maximum of 15 minutes.

Made of ABS, PPMA and SBS, this compact optical planetarium gets power through AAA batteries. Star Wars fans never seem to get satisfied with their existing home décor, so they are always searching for something unique. If you are one of them, then the Homestar BB-8 Home Planetarium is an alluring accessory.
