Natura Futura Arquitectura, a Los Rio-based design workshop collaborated with Nathaly Gaona, Ramón Vivanco, Fausto Quiroz, and Herman Larozehas to built a small mirrored sight-seeing platform named The Invisible Portal on one of the hiking trail between Guaranda and Babahoyo in Andes ranges. This wooden platform was completed in September, 2016 at a place named Clouds Encantadas (delighted clouds) as you can see huge number of clouds and mist rising from the valley to high sky from this high place. It serves as a valley viewing platform for hikers coming in the Ecuador highlands.

The Invisible Portal is a 13-square-metre structure made of wood, but mirrored from outside to create an illusion by reflecting the green meadows and valley around. This unique art object combines futuristic approach of architecture with nature, to function as a rest point for hikers to realize the best between nature and its materialistic reflection.

The wooden planks crafted together in a pattern provide sufficient sitting space for visitors coming in the region. Presence of greenery and local communities around The Invisible Portal makes it a worthy intervention for differentiating between city life and the rural living.
