For such people Rich Olson of Nothing Labs has created the Money Shredding Alarm Clock, which is an alarm clock that shreds your currency note if you do not get up within ten seconds of its ringing. It’s a clever method of getting people up and out of bed by threatening to cut their money into bits.
The design concept gives a new meaning to the expression ‘you snooze you lose’, since if you do not get up to the sound of the alarm, you would have to pay. The designer has constructed the alarm clock by making use of ClockIt kit along with a USB powered paper shredder. He has connected them in such a way that the clock waits for less than 10 seconds after the preset time and if it isn’t turned off within that quick span the shredder is triggered to scrap the money.
In several countries like USA, willful destruction of the currency bill is considered to be a crime. This will cost you a fine of several dollars and can also put you behind bars.
