Google Home and Amazon’s Alexa are voice-controlled smart speakers that ease our day to day tasks and provide a lot of worthy information easily. In just a few years, smart speakers have created a rage in the home automation industry and as a result, newest innovations are evolving out. You might remember the Google assistant powered Aivia speaker that was unveiled at CES 2017 and once again, a US-based company has created Clarity, a wireless speaker that is powered by Android, Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant (to some extent). You can use voice-commands or the on-board 7-inch multi-touchscreen to control the speaker and other AI enabled devices.

This portable speaker is world’s first to feature Amazon Alexa and a touchscreen. The five-watt speakers with spacious sound chambers deliver superb output, whether you are listening to the internet radio or streaming videos. Clarity is more like an android tab to use your favorite apps directly from the Google Play Store. It comes with a 2MP built-in camera to use online services like Skype and Netflix. There is a built-in rechargeable battery to play 6 hours of audio and 2.5 hours of video on a single charge. That’s the reason why it can be a good mate while you are out on an adventure.

It can also be used as a voice assistant to control smart home devices such as Nest, Ecobee, Wemo, SmartThings etc. You can set lighting mood, get weather updates, news updates, set alarms or ask it to play songs at Pandora, Soundcloud, Spotify and other apps. Moreover, it can be connected you other media devices over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. An SD card can also be plugged-in to store music or other files locally.

This voice-controlled smart speaker is packed with innovative features, while its oval shape and clean design make it a sophisticated item for homes. Its designers have successfully crowdfunded it through an Indiegogo campaign, so if you want one, then can grab one by pledging the project for US$149.
