Located in the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, this Airbnb is a funky tiny house amidst the forest you can rent for a stay. At first sight, I didn’t like it much. But as I scrolled a little more, zoomed deeper, and analyzed every minute detail; I laughed at my stupidity!

In the past few years, the tiny house movement has taken the world by storm, with stunning designs popping up every other day. A true embodiment is this idyllic wooded tiny house Airbnb, which is nestled in the lush rain forest of alder, maple, and cedar called Millie’s Gulch. The 270-square-ft. tiny house lets you enjoy the serene beauty of the woods as you wake up to views of green trees from the window. Like I said, I was a fool to not acknowledge the real beauty of the location and a cozy and playful interior first up!

Beginning with the living area, it features a chair, table, sofa, and a lot of storage options to make sure your stay is comfy. The ambient lighting is very soothing to the eye and lets you enjoy, relax, and create memories.

There is a sleeping loft designed in a modern cabin style, with a queen-size memory foam mattress that guarantees a good night’s sleep. In addition, there is a reading loft that doubles as a single bunk for sleeping, as does the pull-out couch in the living area.

You reach the bedroom loft through wooden steps, but to reach the bunk bed you might need some monkey ladder-climbing experience. The tiny house stairs have no handrails or banisters so you have to be pretty careful while climbing. Both can be accessed through the living room.

The interior space is decorated with soft, neutral fabrics accented with splashes of red and handcrafted wood. The lighting, pots, and other accessories would grace you throughout your stay. The modern cabin is a splash of funky design twists, like the handmade copper piping bathroom faucet and shower fixture.

The kitchen is equipped with a two-burner propane gas stove and a microwave. The bathroom has a spacious shower with an on-demand hot water heater with a toilet. The outside space features a large deck with a charcoal Weber BBQ and a fire pit for cozy evenings. Other features include Bluetooth speaker, Wi-Fi, refrigerator, and coffee maker.

Add hot coffee as a breakfast starter and if you are lucky enough you might spot a deer or a barred owl too. You can eventually grill a steak on the BBQ, light a fire in the pit to keep cozy and warm during the night, and indulge in star gazing that would fade all the sorrows and pain of the past.

In addition, there is a propane tank for hot water and cooking and hooks up to a water hose and an Incinolet toilet which needs an electricity hook up. The house can be booked for approx. $114 on Airbnb.
