Iconic fashion designer Tom Ford has listed his stunning property called Cerro Pelon Ranch for an eye-popping $75 million. Designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, this beautiful fortress-like farmstead stands amidst remote desert surroundings, and appears to float above a reflecting pool.

Located in the Galisteo Basin near Santa Fe, New Mexico, the property covers 20,000 acres that make it one of the largest properties in all of Santa Fe. Instead of wooden houses and metal fences, the Tom Ford Ranch boasts clean minimalist lines and smooth fortress-like walls that are as fashion-forward as the designer’s clothing.

The minimalist ranch includes an eight-stall horse barn, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, equestrian facilities, an airstrip, a western movie town that’s built for the film Silverado in 1985, and separate living quarters as part of the unique offering. Plus, two guesthouses designed by Marmol Radziner are part of the massive property.

The main residence sits beside the reflecting pool and connected with the horse barn, along with indoor-outdoor riding rings, which feels like an architectural extension of the home. The low-slung structures encircle a reflecting pond while blending the minimal architectural design with the desert landscape.

This elegant property plays on the sweeping surroundings, while strong light adds a great effect to the architecture.  Check out the two-minute video (given below) that shows imagery of the ranch, including the primary glass and concrete house and an equestrian facility designed by Ando.
