There’s a special place in my heart for turntables, cassettes, and CD players, but they all share one frustrating trait. Each of these devices takes up a lot of space. Case in point: a standard Audio-Technica turntable needs a stable, level surface, an audio rack, a top shelf, or a dedicated console to dampen vibration. The same is true for the likes of the Sony SCR-B9(Z) boombox or the FiiO DM13 R2R CD Player. These audio gear carry undeniable aesthetic appeal, but as dedicated playback devices, they’re real space hogs. That’s the problem TRETTITRE, a Shenzhen-based Chinese audio brand, aims to resolve with its wall-mounted vinyl, CD, and cassette system.

Currently the subject of a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, the TRETTITRE system mounts directly to the wall, freeing up floor and shelf space while doubling as a genuine design centrepiece. This reminds me of Oscar Olsson’s Disco Volante, which boasted the same wall-mounted concept but never made it past the render stage.

That, however, is not the case with the TRETTITRE wall-mounted vinyl, CD & cassette system, which has already smashed its funding goal, surpassing $450,000. The system centres on a modular magnetic wall rack (the TTT-W) that serves as a shared backbone for three matching players. This includes the LP3 wireless vinyl turntable, the DP3 Bluetooth CD player, and the CP3 Hi-Fi cassette deck. Line them up, and you’ve got a gallery-style audio setup that’s an instant conversation starter.

Despite its eye-catching looks, TRETTITRE is built with real audio performance in mind. The turntable features a high-precision tonearm and a built-in phono preamp for warm, detailed vinyl playback. It operates on a belt-drive system. “We chose belt drive because it provides better vibration isolation and superior sound quality, especially in a vertical setup,” state the makers.

The CD and cassette player have a solid metal build with mechanical transport keys. This includes physical buttons on the side (Play/Pause, Next, Previous, Stop). “Volume can be adjusted on the main speaker,” comments the makers. Additionally, the CD player uses a high-quality laser pickup for clean, accurate reproduction, while the cassette deck brings the nostalgic warmth of tape with improved noise reduction. Together, they deliver a listening experience that genuinely respects the character of each format.

Those interested can preorder a full bundle (all three players plus the rack) for $399, against a planned retail price of $899. If you are not interested in the entire package, individual components are available too. P3 Bluetooth CD Player and CP3 Hi-Fi Cassette Player can be availed for $79, while the LP3 Wireless Vinyl Player can be snagged for $229. Shipping is expected in May or June 2026, worldwide.
