Milan Design Week has concluded but left us with multiple designs that will sooner or later feature in our lifestyle. A new edition of Polet is all set to take the designing world by storm as the Italian company, Twils presented a modular version of the armchair cum bed, which offers four different reclined positions for user’s comfort.

Twils is famous for its bedding, sofa, and other accessories and has now added another crown jewel for its prized collection. The initial version of this particular armchair/bed was designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1992. The older version was manufactured by interflex and still holds a resemblance in the modern era. Twils re-edited the older version and presented it in the Fuorisalone 2021.

Polet gets its name from ‘poltrona’ and ‘letto’, two Italian words which mean an armchair and a bed. Polet functions as a chair when you are working on your laptop and can easily transform into a bed if you wish to soak your skin in the sun.

The body of the Polet features a solid beech structure with a black lacquered finish and is fitted with a brass joint. Apart from transforming into a bed, the joint mechanism of the chair allows the user to recline it into two more relaxing positions.
