Everyone is busy buying and sending gifts to friends, family and relatives this festive season. United States Postal Service (USPS) is one name amongst customary agencies people trust on for timely delivery of Christmas or New Year gifts. This year USPS has offered its customers a lighted gift package-tracking Christmas tree ornament to keep a check on the delivery process of gifts. The postal agency has designed the ornament that changes color according to current shipping status of the package.

It tracks your package right from the moment it’s sent, delivered and opened by the recipient. All you need is pack the gift item in the packaging box and send it through the USPS. There is a tracker that sits inside the box and connects with the ornament. The ornament works like your favorite holiday light when connected to the power outlet. Shimmering lights turns the interior into an ambient space when placed on a table, bed stand or hung on Christmas tree while displaying your gift’s current shipping status.

Blue light means your package is on the way, while the red light symbolizes ‘arrived’, and the green indicates that your gift has been opened. Moreover, white color indicates the standby mode.
