DVELAS in Spain manufactures furniture from upcycled sails, the prowess of which is rightfully displayed by Vaurien floating sunbed whose unique curved shape draws inspiration from a boat and sails.

Designed by Enrique Kahle, the Vaurien sunbed provides seating and protection from sun and wind with its curved back achieved by stitching waterproof and anti-solar treated, upcycled sail fabric on a structure of fiberglass battens.‎

There is an inner air chamber that makes it float on water.‎ One of the ends of the floating sunbed is bent and fixed through a rope. Despite being made from old sails, it is durable outdoor furniture that will look good while floating or when placed alongside the pool.
