When we compiled a list of best compact laser projectors, ViewSonic didn’t fit the bill. Not that the company did not have enough juice, but the other manufacturers outsmarted their offerings. Perhaps not any more. ViewSonic makes a resounding entry with the M10 compact smart projector, which it refers to as the “next big thing” but in “surprisingly small” package.

Stretching the boundaries of portable projectors to new color and quality proportions; ViewSonic M10 is a sleek and portable device with brushed metallic finish (measuring 7.95 x 6.5 x 3.6 in) to settle well in any given environment. It is designed with a triple laser light source, which is also its biggest takeaway, along with the ability to deliver auto-focused 120-inch display in full-HD quality.

Integrated with RGB (red, green and blue) laser diodes, the projector manages immaculate single laser projection from the three light sources to generate images of quality not possible with traditional projectors. The high-quality images are projected by the M10 with 100 percent coverage of the BT.2020 color gamut presenting cinematic color performance and brightness of 2,200 RGB lumens.

This literally means, you can view your favorite content without worrying about the ambient light.
The M10 is not a 4K projector, which seems is the new buzzword in the industry; it does produce 1080p full-HD display with HDR/HLG support. The visual uniqueness of the ViewSonic projector is matched by equally impactful induction of Harman Kardon speaker.

While the projector’s embedded ToF permits it to instantly and accurately align its distance to any surface and auto-focus kicks in to leave the viewer with perfectly sized and positioned display on any surface. This includes the ceiling, which the M10 can project on without any aftermarket stand or tripod.

The clear and bright projection can be carried out wirelessly using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi screen mirroring. Or when you want it otherwise, you can use the USB-C cable to connect with a portable device. Longevity of the lamp is often a concern with compact projectors: ViewSonic takes care of this with an eco-friendly approach.

The M10 is fitted with mercury-free light source that assures nearly 30,000 hours of continuous playback with the color and brightness mentioned above. There is no word on the price and availability of the ViewSonic M10 at the time of writing, but we expect it to make flashy showcase at the CES 2024.
