New Zealand companies Lewis Road Creamery and Whittaker’s have collaborated to revolutionize your breakfast time with the world’s first chocolate butter. A perfect bread toast layered with melted chocolate is every chocoholics dream that’s now a sweet reality. Have you started drooling yet?

Inspiration

Lewis Road Creamery founder Peter Cullinane is behind this chocolaty invention. In an interview, he revealed that he was inspired to create chocolate butter while snacking on pastries one afternoon. He thought chocolate pastries are loved by most people around the world, so why not create something pastry-like that people can enjoy daily at breakfast. This thought led to the invention of chocolate butter that’s easy-to-spread on bread slices.

Ingredients

The chocolate butter is a mixture of a whipped variety of the familiar bagel spread and 72-percent dark Ghana chocolate. This chocolicious concoction is said to pair best with bread slices, pastries, and pancakes. It’s surely the best recipe to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Availability

Sadly, the choc butter is only available in New Zealand for now. Hopefully, Cullinane will think of selling it to other countries anytime soon. Until then, you have to sprinkle the cocoa powder into butter as a temporary alternative – though it won’t be as delicious as the original chocolate butter.
