Living off-the-grid is fun till you start missing those cozy movie nights and your beloved idiot box. It’s not easy to let go your favorite TV shows and Tarantino classics, especially on a Saturday night. Am I right? Before you start assuming me to be a sadist, I’d like to clarify that I am a cinephile myself. Moreover, I find it extremely hard to resist movies, chiefly during camping. We all have smartphones, but the fun of watching cinema on a small screen is mundane in comparison to enjoying a classic on a big-sized screen.

To satiate your movie lust, Chinese company Yaber will be launching the slimmest projector you may have seen so far. Dubbed Pico T1, the compact projector slides into your jeans pocket just like your phone does. In fact it also looks like one. With a thickness of 0.53 inches and weighing 153gm, it is easy to carry on trips and can even be placed inside a small purse or backpack.

Yaber Pico T1 has advanced features and can be used anytime, anywhere. When I say anytime, the slim projector leaves no stones unturned to prove me wrong. Imagine snuggling up inside your tent and turning on the projector, with the tent roof functioning as the screen. Thanks to the magnetic 360-degree tripod that allows you to watch your favorite sports and movie anywhere at any angle. Sassy yeah!

The projector also features built-in 1.5-watt speaker and a range of ports including HDMI and USB-C ports and is also compatible with power banks. All you need to do is flip up the kickstand and the projector can adjust to almost any angle, and project a large image onto a wall or ceiling. When it comes to the functional aspects, Pico T1 delivers 960 x 540 resolution at 110 lumens with a contrast ration of 350:1 (something not to be boasted about)

Nevertheless, the projector is worth buying, conspiring it is compatible with popular entertainment apps like Prime Video, Disney+ and Netflix. Other features include auto vertical keystone correction, manual focus and automatic display orientation. The display size ranges from 10 to 100 diagonal inches and is most suitable for low-light indoor viewing.

This portable projector is being crowd-funded on Indiegogo and the company is planning to retail it for $399. There are rumors floating in the market that Yaber Pico T1 will be available on Amazon and the company’s official website, starting in mid-September; however we can’t clarify it as yet.
