YETI has launched the Tank 30 Beverage Tub, aiming to level up your hosting game in summer. Featuring an open-top design, this portable cooler is ideal for outdoor parties where people need quick and easy access to beverages and other items. You can pack it with beer or wine to add convenience to your backyard BBQ or pool parties. Since there is no sealed lid on the cooler, guests can grab whatever drink they want.

The Tank 30 retains several features of quintessential YETI coolers, except the open-top design, which can have certain advantages and disadvantages. Just like YETI Tundra Hard Coolers, it uses Permafrost insulation and rotomoulded construction, making it sturdy enough for harsh conditions of an outdoor party. According to YETI, “It’s made for outdoor get-togethers and parties under the sun,” so you can expect great durability.

The beverage tub may look like a traditional ice bucket with an open-top design, but it has more ice retention, allowing you to keep drinks chilled for much longer. YETI has also skipped the drain plug, which seems like a well-thought-out strategy to eliminate a major potential leak point and reduce thermal transfer. The integrated handles can be used to tip it down and drain the residual water.

The Tank 30 cooler comes with integrated handles for easy carrying and BearFoot non-slip feet that prevent it from sliding on the drinks table or outdoor bar. The beverage tub can fit three reusable YETI ice sheets across the bottom and three large YETI food storage containers to transport food. The open-top design is useful for easy access, but it may also affect ice retention capabilities.

Each unit measures 28.6W x 14.6D x 8.5H inches (72.6W x 37.1D x 21.6H cm) from the exterior, while the interior measures 22.9W x 9.7D x 6.9H inches (58.2W x 24.6D x 17.5H cm). YETI says it holds 38 lbs of ice, or you can put in 53 cans or 21 wine bottles upright; that makes it sufficient for any outdoor party. The YETI Tank 30 beverage tub is available in three colors and is listed for $150 on the official website.
