The idea behind building the world’s first treehouse would have been to safeguard the family from wild animals and flooding waters. With time though, treehouses have become more of a cult. They are secluded and fun to build and stay in. This brings us to a treehouse perched in the wilds of Devon County in England.

Famous for its spectacular coastline and beautiful beaches, Devonshire is a county in southwest England that you’d love to visit. The stunning and surreal location has a beautiful treehouse dubbed Yeworthy, which is an eco-retreat for nature lovers. The completely off-grid treehouse is so calm and secluded that you’d love to visit the place time and again.

Completely off-grid in nature, the treehouse is hidden among a treetop above Devon lake offering great views of the location. The owners would drive you to the location in a jeep which you or any other visitor get to keep throughout the stay.

The sun-dappled balcony of the house is lake-facing where one can easily spot different types of birds. In case, you are also up for an adventure, there is a boat available to guide you through the lake. Though, swimming is not permitted in the lake.

The treehouse features one spacious room with a double bed surrounded by classy furniture items to add a vintage vibe to the room. Noticeably, the treehouse has no electricity but features a glowing wood burner to keep visitors cozy and warm throughout their stay. In addition, there is a gas stove for the guest to cook their own food.

The treehouse can be rented on Airbnb for $231 a night. More good news, you can also get your furry friends along as pets are gladly welcomed on the property.
