New York-based startup has designed Z-Tech a simple and smart docking station that turns your old iPad or iPhone into a video monitoring camera to get a 360 degree view of what happens in your home while you’re out. It comes with an intuitive motion detection system, including face and time recognition that alerts you about any unexpected interferences in your home. This dock station comes with smart technology that turns your docked iPhone or iPad’s camera automatically from anywhere. It will alert you when your pet is messing around or your baby wakes up and tries to come out of his cradle.
Z-Tech is a roundish charging dock with two USB ports and an iPhone lightning cable to get optimal convenience by charging up to three devices at a time. It has a built-in battery with 10,000 mAh capacity which allows charging your USB devices outdoors or while there is no power supply. Whether you place it on a table or on headboard of your bed, its simple design with imposing colors displays itself as a high-tech gadget in any type of interiors.

It sends you names of the people (registered with device) which it detects through its camera, so you can use it in your home/office as a security camera. Moreover, it also sends you their time of entrance and exit; thanks to the on-board face and time recognition feature. This way you can keep a check on your colleagues or monitor the time when your kids come back after their school. Keeping in mind the busy life style of people, Z-Tech saves time to check all day activities at home by creating a time-lapse video. All videos recorded in a day automatically are uploaded to the Z-Tech cloud.
With this smart device you can not only use your old iPhone or iPad as a functional camera, but you can also hear and communicate with your pets. Interestingly, it comes with camera detection zones which allow selecting areas you don’t want to be detected with motion trigger, such as moving drapes in your room due to wind.
This smart dock station allows charging your Apple mobile devices as well as using any old iPad/iPhone as a security camera. Its up to you, whether you use it for spying on someone or keeping a check on your baby sitter. This device is currently being crowd-funded on Indiegogo, so back this project to get the smart surveillance device which is scheduled to be delivering in late December 2016.
