While some may wonder, “Whatever happened to the tiny house movement,” the industry is very much alive and kicking, offering gorgeous dwellings to a vast clientele. These micro-dwellings vary in design, layouts, pricing, and amenities, but each caters to the evolving needs of the younger generation who likes the freedom, flexibility, and mobility provided by tiny houses on wheels. A case in point is the Sanctuary tiny house by New Zealand-based builder Cocoon Tiny Homes, which is a single-level dwelling priced a little over $105K.

The Sanctuary tiny house on wheels with a spacious interior that fits a bathroom, kitchen, living area, and bedroom in its 34-foot-long structure. It makes for a perfect abode for people who do not wish to deal with the hassle of climbing ladders or stairs to access the typical loft bedrooms.

The Sanctuary boasts the usual New Zealand-style black steel framed exterior, which contrasts with the rustic wooden interior. Although the dwelling eliminates loft bedrooms, it does feature one storage loft, making it easier to store things out of the way.

The micro-dwelling features two giant French doors, open in the bedroom and the living room. The living room exudes a traditional cottage-style layout with a big cabinet that you may have seen at your grandma’s house, three reading chairs, and a coffee table. The chairs can be swapped for a sofa bed for additional sleeping space.

The kitchen is next and has a country-cottage charm with tons of cabinets and shelves, a 2-burner cooktop, oven, rangehood, stainless steel sink, tiled backsplash, and refrigerator. It also has a kitchen island that doubles as a dining space.

Past the kitchen is the bedroom with an attached bathroom. The bedroom has a king-size bed, wardrobes, French doors, and a storage loft over the bathroom. The bathroom is concealed behind a sliding door and has a curved corner shower cabin, toilet, vanity sink, and plenty of laundry space.

The price tag is fairly high when it comes to a tiny house but people have been enamored with micro-dwelling costing over $250,000. Although the $105K Sanctuary tiny house is an attractive abode, it does exclude some of the amenities such as an oven and toilet from that base price.
