Aiper, known for smart robotic pool cleaners, is launching its first cordless robot lawnmower, the Aiper Horizon U1, at CES 2024. This nifty lawnmower cuts all types of grass and is easily controllable through a user-friendly app. What makes it stand out? No more messing with wires – it uses virtual boundaries.

The company says that accurate and safe positioning is achieved by combining RTK technology, visual sensors, and an Inertial Navigation System (INS). This integrated system provides highly accurate location information with centimeter-level precision. The Horizon U1 can also avoid common yard obstacles on its way such as a trampoline, basketball goal, or even pets.

There is a built-in 8.7Ah battery that can be fully charged in around 150 minutes. On a single charge, it can mow up to 500-square-meter area before heading back to the charging dock for another stint. According to the makers, the mower is well-suited for yards up to 3,000-square-meter. Another noteworthy feature is its capability to automatically return to the charging station when the battery level hits 10%, minimizing manual effort.

The robot lawnmower has a single-blade disk with four blades, offering a 24cm cutting width and an adjustable cutting height from 30-70 mm. It can also connect to Aiper’s cordless Signal Relay Station for handling more complex yard layouts.

The Aiper Horizon U1 is sized at 69.1 x 50.4 x 34 cm and weighs 16 kg. Pricing details are currently unavailable, but you can expect it to be on the market by the end of 2024.
