Portuguese builder Casagaea Tiny House has designed the Algarve, a compact, mobile home for people who want to live close to nature without sacrificing everyday comforts. Mounted on a double-axle trailer, the tiny house is available in three size configurations: 23.7 feet, 25.5 feet, and 27.5 feet.

The tiny house has a wooden exterior and is accented by a butterfly metal roof that adds personality to the dwelling. “The distinctive design with a contemporary roof gives this model a unique character,” explains the maker. The tiny house is characterised by several windows and large glazing that allows light to enter.

Visitors enter the interior through a large glass door that provides access to the kitchen. As a standard in Portuguese tiny homes, the Algarve tiny house kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, including a fridge, stove, oven, extractor fan, and sink. The worktops and cabinetry are finished to a good standard, and the layout keeps everything within easy reach.

The bedroom is adjacent to the kitchen. It sleeps two people and is furnished with a built-in bed with storage, helping dwellers store essential items in the cupboard and keep the area tidy. Even the bed frame includes built-in storage underneath, which is a practical touch given the square footage. As per the pictures, there is no sign of a sofa or table in the house, but we assume the maker will outfit them in the 27.5-foot version.

The bathroom is on the other end. Simple yet practical, it features a fully enclosed shower, a toilet, and a vanity sink. As is the case with most tiny homes in Europe and around the world, the Algarve tiny house runs on a standard RV-style hookup.

For those seeking energy independence, the manufacturer offers add-on options, including solar panel kits, rainwater collection systems, gas cooking, wood heating, and grey water treatment. There is no word on the pricing, but we estimate it to cost well above $80K.
