Underutilization of discarded furniture usually results in solid waste type that is large in quantity and also difficult to deal with. Since furniture products have a specified shelf life, a sustainable and green approach toward reviving them is of absolute importance. Wonjae Sung, a furniture designer rides this philosophy with his latest creation of furniture, Always Break.
Always Break comprises a series of intricate chairs and light repurposed from discarded plastic and makeup articles. Its manufacturing process is kept simple involving boiling, coloring and then shaping the material with hands.
High Pack and Connection Chair along with Fniss Lighting are crafted using children’s toys and materials found in specialist makeup to create simple yet impactful design. Fniss Light comes with an intricate shape from IKEA Fniss trash can paper waste basket. It adorns a design similar to thorns protruding from the product. The designer showcases a style that mainly focuses on lines, colors and motifs.

High Pack Chair adorns an unusual make highlighted with tan colored thorn covered armrest and backrest. You can see the chair as a representation of the designer’s thought process in an endeavor to break the image anew from the existing traditional furniture.
Connection Chair largely displays the importance of diversified relationships in our lives. It points to helping us realize building and retaining organic connections in our lives. The chair is crafted into a new form structure through spines blooming, integrated into its attractive blue color design.
