Halloween is just around the corner. It is the right time to get into the Halloween spirit with some gorgeous and spooky decorations. Start with a wreath, and if you want something different, why not try making a lighted Halloween wreath.

An Instructables user GFire has shared his experience of making a lighted Halloween wreath. He has proficient hand in wreaths, which might have helped him but no worries; giving it a try can become a good opportunity for you. It will be your own creation that you can admire in front of others.

He has designed the letters Happy Halloween in Adobe Illustrator and cut them using a scroll saw. The graveyard silhouette is also cut from cardboard. He has painted an old wreath and the graveyard silhouette black and the wording in fluorescent orange that creates a cool contrast. After all this, he simply attached string LED lights on the back of the Happy Halloween sign. He has used purple lights for the graveyard, which gives it a creepy look.

Finally, the wreath frame is decked with garland, purple coil strands, bone skull necklaces, glittery spiders, spider web, mini skeletons, and other decorations. The overall appearance is enhanced with glittery orange sprig twig at the top. He has used battery packs for power and concealed them within the wreath.

Positioning Halloween wordings and artwork along with lights and wiring will possibly be the toughest part of the DIY Halloween project. The DIYer suggests you measure the open area of the wreath and then cut the artwork accordingly.
