Korean brand Coway is well known for its best-in-class air purifiers and water filters. Lately, the company has collaborated with San Francisco-based Fuseproject to re-imagine the standard plastic box-like design of air purifiers. They have come up with Coway Icon Air Purifier featuring a stylish design that allows it to blend into home settings elegantly.

The Icon Air Purifier’s design focuses on cleaning the air while also serving as a beautiful and practical object in the home. Standing on four tapered wooden legs, it sports a rectangular shape that is covered in a removable fabric cover. It looks more like a furniture piece that can be placed alongside a wall.

Users can set the desired mode, air volume, and lighting with the onboard buttons that light up with touch. The air purifier also provides Wi-Fi connectivity that lets the user control all the functionalities through a smartphone app.

As an additional feature, the control pad at the top of the purifier functions as a wireless charging pad for your smartphone. The subtle choice of materials and color palette are other important aspects of the design, helping it to add beauty to any home, workplace, or hospitality environment.

Aside from desirable aesthetic and technological features, the Icon Air Purifier features a 4-stage filtration system. It is outfitted with a built-in PM2.5 sensor that controls air volume/flow automatically to remove 99.99% particles down to 0.01 ㎛ in size.

The Icon Air Purifier is not available in the United States for now, but Fuseproject hopes to bring it soon.
