Inspired by the mid-century modern design, Henri Lavallard Boget has designed the Hauteville concrete rocking chair for Lyon Béton. It is made with glass fiber reinforced concrete shell, rebar legs, and birch plywood runners. The chair has an ergonomic and comfortable seat, while also having a smooth texture as a result of the fine sanding done by the maker.

Like any other concrete furniture, the Hauteville concrete rocking chair boasts an industrial look, which also makes it an attention- grabber. Despite being made of unconventional materials, it is a minimal yet a contemporary chair design. Measuring 64 x 71 x 72 cm, it weighs just 20 kg and is perfect to be used as an accent chair.
