At CES 2021, Samsung Electronics has unveiled new products that show the company’s vision for the future. The company wants to create robotics and AI-powered solutions for homes. In this connection, the company has teased three new AI-powered robots for domestic use.

All of the Samsung home robots are designed to make daily life seamless and convenient. They help in automating daily chores at home. Below is a breakout of the major technologies showcased at Samsung’s all-virtual CES exhibition:

JetBot 90 AI+

Touted as the world’s first smart robotic vacuum, powered by Intel AI, the JetBot 90 AI+ vacuum cleaner provides an amazing cleaning experience with minimal effort. This new AI-powered vacuum cleaner uses object recognition technology to map the most efficient route without colliding with things in the way. There are LiDAR and 3D sensors to enable the vacuum cleaner to avoid cables and small objects.

After the cleaning job is done, the JetBot 90 AI+ automatically returns back to its Clean Station to empty the dirt, dust, and hair it has collected into a bag. It is also outfitted with a camera that can be useful for monitoring the home and activities of the pets remotely using the SmartThings app. You can also use the app to control the vacuum cleaner remotely. The JetBot 90 AI+ is slated to come to the US market in the first half of the year.

Samsung Bot Care

Samsung is working to create robots that help in personal care and the Samsung Bot Care5 is the latest development. It uses AI to recognize and respond to the behavior of a person. This personal care robot will be able to act as both a robotic assistant and companion. It will gradually learn the schedule and habits of a person and send reminders to help the person throughout the day.

Samsung Bot Handy

Samsung has designed this robot to help with household chores. It also uses advanced AI to recognize and pick up objects of varying sizes, shapes, and weights. This home robot can recognize the material composition of various objects and thus use the appropriate amount of force to grab and move them around. For instance, the Bot Handy can help place dishes in the dishwasher safely.
