Aqara is steadily rocking the smart home market with affordable devices, especially its multi-platform hubs and multi-functional devices like the W200 smart thermostat. Unveiled at CES 2026, the W200 reflects the strategy to build a complete ecosystem of its own devices. Apart from serving as smart climate control, this device also functions as a central hub for controlling the Aqara video doorbell, smart lock, and other smart devices using the onboard screen.

The W200 is way more than just a standard thermostat, as you can pair it with a variety of remote sensors to optimize your home’s HVAC system more correctly. It is being touted as the first thermostat to support Apple’s Adaptive Temperature and Clean Energy Guidance.

These features automatically adjust the thermostat based on activity states accessed through your iPhone/Apple Watch. The thermostat can even shift energy usage to periods when the local grid is cleaner or cheaper for reducing costs over time.

The W200 acts as a Matter-enabled hub and supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Thread, and Zigbee, allowing you to manage over 50 types of Aqara and third-party Matter devices. The thermostat has a 4-inch color touchscreen that displays real-time snapshots from compatible Aqara video doorbells (G410/G400) and allows you to unlock Aqara smart locks directly from the wall unit. It also serves as a smart home panel, allowing you to control lighting, curtain drivers, wall switches, and even scenes from one screen.

In other highlighting features, there is a built-in presence sensor that enables more precise automations than standard motion sensors. As you approach, the screen activates instantly.

The thermostat can automatically adjust temperature when you arrive and save energy when no one is home. The sensor can also be used in smart automations, like turning on lights when you walk by.

Aqara W200 is designed to work with 24V HVAC systems and is also compatible with most furnaces, heat pumps, and boilers. You can manually adjust the temperature via the app, through voice assistants like Alexa or Siri, or pair with the W100 wireless sensor for quick one-tap physical control.

Aqara W200 smart thermostat is now available for purchase at $160 on Amazon and the official website.
