The air you breathe is becoming dangerous day by day. It becomes important for you to have a hybrid air purifier system at home. Aria is one such hybrid air purifier system that detects all indoor air pollutants. The air purifier system not only identifies pollutants but also eliminates 99% of contaminants.

Driving inspiration from NASA’s report about the natural power of a plant’s roots, the designer team of Aleksander Matecki and Janusz Skierkowski developed this hybrid technology for air purification. The physical structure of this air purifier is cylindrical in shape and is divided into two parts.

The bottom half of the cylinder is responsible for the purification process while the upper half constitutes the main plant. The lower base features a touchscreen display that gives you detailed information on air quality, temperature, and humidity. On the contrary, the upper half constitutes a water reservoir that automatically hydrates the soil.

Aria used multiple sensors to monitor your environment. You can also try Aria’s own app or even control the purifier via a voice assistant on your phone or smart speaker. The air purifier is perfectly suited to function as a floor-centered planter and naturally blends with your interior.

As far as the functioning of the purifier is concerned, Aria is clad with multiple filters. The air passes through an all-in-one ionizer, HEPA, and activated carbon filter at the base of the vertical structure. Next, it is hit by a UV filter that is responsible for eliminating the contaminants. The ionizer is responsible for destroying pollutants and producing fresh smelling air.

In its final stage, when the air reaches the root, they follow an age-old natural process known as bio-remediation which destroys contaminants in the soil, turning them into nutrients for the plant. Finally, you can enjoy and cherish the fresh air from Aria. The air purifier is currently being crowdfunded on Indiegogo and is available for an early bird price of $349.
