Audi R18 Ultra Chair made from carbon fiber

There is no limit to the creativity that goes into designing cars, getting the same concept and a view to venture into the home furniture market, Audi has delivered the R18 Ultra Chair. Debuted first in Milan Furniture Fair in April this year, the R18 Ultra Chair designed by Clemens Weisshaar and Reed Kram is made from carbon fiber and really strong sheet aluminum. At the Furniture Fair R18 was fitted with sensors to gather user data to make the ultimate chair as fine tuned to consumers need and weight. About 1,500 testers took the chance to try the prototype.

Now, the fine tuned prototype of the 2.2 kilogram (4.85 lbs) R18 Ultra Chair is on display at the Design Miami (influential biannual international design fair) from December 5 to 9.
